Terms of service
Last updated: 17 August 2026
These terms are an agreement between you ("merchant", "you") and Rogus ("we", "us") about your use of the Rogus app, which is provided through the Shopify App Store.
By installing or using Rogus you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please uninstall the app.
1. What the app does
- Product feeds. Rogus reads your Shopify product catalog and generates feed files from the settings and attribute mappings you configure. It does not modify your catalog.
- Feed delivery. Each feed is published at a URL containing a long, unguessable token, which you register with a shopping channel such as Google Merchant Center. Anyone holding that URL can retrieve the feed. You are responsible for where you share it.
- Merchant Center push (optional). If you connect a Google account, Rogus sends the products in your feed to Google Merchant Center on your behalf and reads their status back. You remain responsible for complying with Google's product data specification and policies, and for any decision Google makes about your products.
- Feed content. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the product data you publish — prices, availability, identifiers, and any content generated with AI assistance and accepted by you into a feed.
- Integrations. You are solely responsible for having the authority to connect any third-party service, such as a Slack workspace or a Merchant Center account.
2. Permissions and data
Installing Rogus grants it read-only access to:
- Products (
read_products) - Inventory (
read_inventory) - Metaobjects (
read_metaobjects)
Rogus requests no write permissions and never modifies your store data. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties except with the sub-processors listed in our privacy policy, or where required by law.
3. Plan limits
Each plan sets limits on the number of products per feed, the number of feeds, how often feeds sync automatically, and AI content fill. The current limits are shown on the plan selection page in your Shopify admin.
If a catalog exceeds the product limit of your plan, the feed is generated up to that limit and Rogus reports how many products were left out. Products are included oldest first, so the set stays stable between generations.
If you move to a lower plan, existing feeds are kept. You may be unable to create new feeds until you are within the new limit.
4. Fees and billing
Rogus uses Shopify's billing for recurring subscriptions. Any fees are billed through your Shopify account as part of your regular invoice cycle.
You can cancel at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin. Uninstalling ends the billing.
5. Uninstalling and data removal
You can uninstall Rogus at any time from your Shopify store.
When you do, your feed URLs stop serving your feeds. Any shopping channel still fetching them will no longer receive your product data, which may cause that channel to remove your products.
All store data — feeds and their configurations, generated feed documents, integration credentials, the Google connection and its tokens, generated AI content, sessions, and subscription records — is permanently erased from our servers on Shopify's shop/redact request, within 48 hours of uninstallation.
Back up any feed configuration you want to keep before uninstalling. The erasure is permanent and cannot be undone.
6. Limitation of liability
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that feeds will be generated, delivered, fetched, or accepted by any shopping channel without errors or delay — that depends on third-party APIs and policies outside our control.
We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the service, including missed or failed feed updates, products rejected or removed by a shopping channel, or downtime.
7. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app or by email.
